Course Cancellation / Refund Policy
- Cancellation 3 BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR to the course will allow a student to receive a refund for the course minus a $5.00 administrative fee.
- Cancellation less than 3 business days before the course will NOT entitle the student to a course refund. However, efforts will be made to move the student to another course. Students wishing to transfer to another course more than once will incur a $5.00 administrative fee.
- Students failing to cancel by 3:00 p.m. on the day of the course will not receive a refund or the opportunity to transfer to another course. Students still wishing to enroll in a course will need to re-register and will again incur registration fees associated with the course they wish to attend.
Community Course Definitions:
Adult CPR / AED ($30.00 per student)
The Adult CPR/AED (automated external defibrillator) class prepares you to provide care for unconscious and breathing emergencies, perform adult CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest.
Prerequisites:None
Certificates Issued: Adult CPR/AED, valid for one year

Child & Infant CPR ($30.00 per student)
Learn how to help someone who is choking, how to check an unconscious person, and how perform rescue breathing.

First Aid ($30.00 per student)
Learn to care for burns; to control bleeding; to respond to a diabetic emergency, seizure, poisoning.

Saturday Special ($85.00 per student)
First Aid with Adult CPR/AED, Child & Infant CPR: Learn the skills needed to prevent, recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive. This course covers First Aid, Adult, Child and Infant CPR in an approach that complements adult learning styles, featuring hands-on practice and real-life scenarios. Useful take-home course materials help you retain skills and serve as reference tools in an emergency.
Prerequisites: None
Certificates Issued: First Aid, valid for three years; Adult CPR/AED, Child & Infant CPR, valid for one year.

Babysitter's Training ($35.00 per student)
This interactive, activity-based program gives 11 to 15 year-olds the knowledge, skills and confidence to care for infants through primary school-aged children. It focuses on injury prevention, first aid, basic childcare, decision making, problem solving and leadership skills, and is also provides an excellent opportunity for building self confidence. Any one who baby sits should take this course. Prerequisites: 11 years old by end of class.
Certification Issued: Babysitter's Training, no expiration date
Note: This is a two-part class. Student MUST attend both dates to receive certification!

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer ($40 if you have a mask, $55 if you don't - one will be provided)
This course is designed for any individual who has the duty to respond to emergencies. Topics include: Recognizing and responding to breathing and cardiac emergencies; two-rescuer CPR techniques for drowning and other special situations; using resuscitation and bag-valve masks.
Prerequisites: none
Certification Issued: CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, valid one year
Note: This is a two-part class. Student MUST attend both dates to receive certification!
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer PLUS First Aid ($50 if you have mask, $65 if we supply the mask)
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Challenge ($40 if you have a mask, $55 if you don't - one will be provided)
This course is designed for any individual who has the duty to respond to emergencies. Topics include: Recognizing and responding to breathing and cardiac emergencies; two-rescuer CPR techniques for drowning and other special situations; using resuscitation and bag-valve masks.
